Hi Purdy2017
bloating is awful and so uncomfortable I also suffered unpleasant wind.
Mine has improved since I started taking probiotics regularly. I use ProVen 50+ which I have found to be very good.
hope this helps.
I have the same problem but I have tried everything and got nowhere fast. I’ve been checked for coeliac disease because that is an autoimmune problem and we can collect more than one autoimmune problem. It was negative in my case but it might be worth checking. If you fine the solution please let me know.
I have bloating and gas when I eat items that are difficult to digest. I do liquids a couple of days and it calms down. I also use gasx and try to avoid carbonated beverages.
Hi Purdy2017, so sorry for your painful gut. I struggled for many years until NHS dieticians helped me try the FODMAP exclusion diet. Turns out my ‘healthy’ veg-heavy diet was loaded with foods like broccoli that were causing my painful bloating, and once I learned how to manage this my symptoms were dramatically improved. This won’t be the case for everyone of course, but got to be worth a try!
Best wishes.
Thankyou for your kind reply I shall have a look at that tomorrow thankyou that's good advice hopefully that might help I will let you no 🙂
I have the same problem and have been put on FODMAP for 2 weeks, then the reintroduction phase after that. It will take awhile but should know what’s getting me after that, hopefully. gastro said take Gas-X too in the meantime. Also being checked for celiac as that can be one of those pesky accompaniments to PBC. Also SIBO test coming up.
That’s good CeeCee, really hope it helps you! FWIW, I never conclusively pinned down the FODMAP group or groups that affect me, instead I’ve opted to follow an approximate ‘total all-groups daily amount’ which is another approach. Let us know how you get on. Best wishes
celiac negative which was good news. Day 4 on FODMAP so a bit to go before reintroduction phase.
I have this and I’m seeing a consultant at the end of this month. Gp thinks I have inflammatory bowel disease. I find that I can’t seem to cope with fibre.
