Hi! I am was diagnosed with PBC and also kidney cancer 1.5 years ago. I had a kidney removed. Anyway I am getting a dog soon and there are lots of nearby trails and paths to take her to but I have been afraid of using insect repellent. I can’t go to them without protect because of ticks and mosquitoes love me. Has anyone used no toxic yet effective repellant. Thanks.

Wishing all the best for a Happy & Healthy Summer

I use Incognito which is deet free.I am in the UK and source this from Bodykind but I recently saw it in Sainsbury's. The Bodykind Web site gives information on its products and the customer services has been helpful.

Dogs are such great companions have fun.

You may see if Avon still sells Skin so Soft. I believe they had an entire line of body washes & lotions. I grew up with outdoorsy parents and the lotion was regularly used as mosquito repellent because for whatever reason it works.

Have fun hiking with your new dog! 😀 They are the greatest!

I'm sure you could put them around each ankle and wrist to keep them away while hiking. Bought a pack of them on Amazon. Worth a try. Be well...
