What's your Cholestyramine receipt?

Hello all!

Just for grins and maybe a little help out there for those of us that have to take Cholestyramine every day, I thought we could post how we fix it. I take Cholestyramine light and mix it with icy orange juice as the stand by but I find that way too sweet. Recently I discovered blending it with frozen mango slices combined with a single dessert serving of Manderine orange slices for the liquid to make a sorbet. Taste a notch better than the OJ. LOL! Has anyone tried to mix it with jello to avoid the gritty taste? (P.S. the lable says you can't heat Cholestyramine but maybe one could add the powder when the jello reaches room temp)? I know we are a creative group.... :) Please post how you tried to reduce the yuck factor and perhaps your best and worst receipes. Maybe we can have some fun with this and just maybe we can find a way to make this stuff actually taste good.?

Good question, the title confused me to start with - don't you just love predictive text. But once I read on I thought what a great question. I do not take colestyramine anymore but when I did take it I would say the worst is taking it with water, I tried orange juice but found it very acidic and did not help the gritty texture. I tried sprinkling it on porridge but eventually ended up mashing it in a banana with kefir (kefir is great for the gut). I was taking it for about 3 years and did eventually become used to it being part of the breakfast routine.
