As this bill will inevitably go through government this week and as it clearly states that the new NHS Boards will no longer be obliged to provide hospital services, will we still be able to see our specialists on a regular basis?

The Health and Care Bill
Won't this still have to go through to the House of Lords and the amendments stage? By the time all the politicians have finished tinkering with it who knows what will happen! Looking around the world many countries have problems with the health services especially with this pandemic putting so much pressure on staff and services I am guessing there will have to be a knock on effect. I guess the only answer is, only time will tell and how great the patients need at that time.
Already gone through the Lords
then sadly it will be a case of wait and see but I stay hopeful that fresh ideas will trim down the weight of bureaucracy. Many years ago now I remember speaking to a specialist at Oxford University Hospital who was developing a new way of diagnosing liver conditions without the need for invasive biopsies. His comment was that it would be a better system but many people would be resistent to change. I hope you are keeping well.
Also spoken to specialists and they absolutely despair at what’s to come.
I don’t think it had gone through the House of Lords yet. The government are only discussing it and voting on it today.
Thank you. So 3rd reading in Commons today and tomorrow and then Lords before returning for voting.
