Has anyone found fibrates affect kidney function

Hi Sandy220, I’ve been on bezafibrate since last November, I’ve had one set of bloods so far and no issues with kidney function.

Iv been on them since March last year and they checked bloods every 4 weeks for 3 months incase it effected kidney function but all was ok ✅

I have a cyst on my kidney. I don't know if its caused by medication or not. I haven't been told

I been on Bezafibrate must be a couple of years now, had no problem with kidneys. The doctors should be checking kidney function regularly as part of your bloods I believe. I know mine does every 6 months now but it was 3 monthly when I first went on them.

I’ve also have a kidney cyst for about 8 years now so I know it’s not the fibrates.
