Hi! I have stage 4 PBC since Dec. 2017 My levels seem to be okay but I am having a lot of pain under my left breast. The doctors can't seem t o find anything. The only thing that seems to take the pain away is ice. I am holding a lot of water I can't seem to get rid of. I have ever since I was 19 now I am 69 I had feet swelling problem but now it is much worse. They put me on a water pill which helps if I stay in bed with my feet up and that is just not me. I like doing things I know I am still lucky.
Is there anyone else with that pain? If so who do you need to see about it?

I do not have any personal experience of this Kulaloke and I see no one has dropped in to chat to you. I wonder if you have tried any natural methods for ridding the water retention, I think things like apple cider vinegar (2 tablespoons diluted into water or in salad dressings) can be helpful as can watermelon. As I understand it sometimes we can have water retention because we do not drink enough water to help the kidneys function properly. I believe the kidneys are situated under our breast area and with water retention I wonder if it is possible that your pain is coming from the left side kidney but then your doctors surely would have thought about that?
I hope someone comes along soon who can give you a better insight into the problem.
This is an update on what is a possible cause of pain in my chest. I went to the hospital and what they found was not good. First most of my organs are enlarged. They found I have A-Fib with a leaky valve so they put me on blood thinners. Then they found I have Pulmonary Hypertension. My body is retaining water and they say that is causing pressure which is causing the pain. With all this swelling I look like I am pregnant. The water pills are working a little bit but if I sit or stand my feet swell. The bad thing is a couple of weeks ago I tripped over a bed foot board and fell on my left Knee on a very hard wood floor so I could not walk on it for a week so I stopped taking the water pills for awhile cause I could not get up to go the the bathroom and that made the chest problem worse. So I am on two different water pills. My blood levels for the PBC seem to be okay so far.
I am sorry to read your post Kulaloke , it is good though that they have found a cause although of course it is a a bit of a road ahead to get yourself better. Oh and I do feel for you hurting your knee, having done some early gardening I have hurt my left knee and hip although obviously no where near as bad as your injury. I do hope they manage to sort things out for you and that you are soon able to be a bit more mobile.
Thank You and everyday my knee is getting better. And with all the water pills my pain in my chest and legs is better. I still have to see the pulmonary doctor and the heart doctor.
