How long does it take to get a liver transplant and does insurance pay for any of it I’m in Florida

Try the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville. Dr Harnois is excellent. They are specialists in PBC and liver transplantation. It should be covered by insurance.

I’m trying to get a appointment there’s! I read they are doing PBC Research study’s I hope they call or I will keep call them!

Hi , I waited 15 mths for my transplant , had it Nov 28th 2019 so im only 9 wks post transplant , sorry can't help you with insurance issue's, I live in the UK and we have the NHS so we don't pay , not directly that is , we pay a thing called National insurance contributions through our wage pkt, the more we earn the more we pay but its nothing in compare to private insurance and it doesn't just cover the NHS it covers our fire services, Ambulance , police etc , people here do moan about it they just don't realise how lucky we are to have the NHS and not to have to worry about getting a huge bill or if our insurance will cover it ! even if you don't work here yr entitled to NHS treatment doesn't matter who contributes towards it we all get it , so I hope yr insurance covers you for yrs .
