Painful ankles

Good morning, does anyone have painful stiff swollen feet and ankles, and have you had the injections to try and ease the pain. Mine are so bad that they are preventing me from walking properly. I am having to consider buying a mobility scooter. Could you please tell me about your experiences with the cortisone injections and are they painful in the top of your feet and ankles please. Thanks guys xx

I had cortisone shots years ago for my achilles tendon. They did not help. Also you are limited in the number of shots you can get as it is harmful.

Sorry about your pain. You might want to see rheumatologist to get to the cause. It is better to treat the undelying cause than the symptoms.

Morning Vespa27 Sorry to read that your feet and ankles have not improved. As ninjagirlwebb suggests it may be better to have further investigation before trying the cortisone shots.
