Muscle pain or pbc related?

I am still awaiting biopsy results for suspected PBC. Before the biopsy i had pain in my right side back extending to front, this has increased a week post biopsy. It is pretty constant, and I wonder is this more likely to be muscular? Or do you go see a dr about it. It does seem a peculiar place to have a pulled muscle.

Hi, I have pain around my ribs on the right side. It is not constant but worse when I have been on my feet working all day and occasionally wakes me up in the night and I have to sleep on my left hand side, I would check with your doctor.

I have PBC and a pain in right side, under ribs which radiates into my back.

Is there anything that can be done with it. Made a drs appointment yesterday but not til 26 February. Do i need an urgent one?

No, there is nothing that helps, although you could be given pain killers if you can’t tolerate it. Just recall, anything you take goes right through your liver to be processed.

If you can’t take it, go to urgent care or emergency room. Otherwise, get used to it. I’ve had this pain for years.

Thats fair enough i suppose. I havent had any diagnosis, got biopsy before Christmas, pain started before hand but has been constant since a week after the biopsy.

Its an odd pain, different to backache but i can tolerate it grand. If thats the worst i have il be 🍀.

Just wish someone would tell me biopsy results one way or other, the dr says they dont get them!

That’s not normal either. The doctor should always get the results to tests they order. Call and inquire.

Yes; as soon as the biopsy results are analyzed by pathologist, a report is sent to the doctor who orders them.
