No not yet what was your feelings on having this done , how was the procedure and what kind of results does it show

Fibroscan is not scary. It is like a sonogram machine. It bounces sound off your liver area to create a sense of how stiff the liver is. There is a scale & chart that interprets the results. Your doctor will explain your results in context of those charts.

I did one earlier this year.

Sorry to be so late answering. Just got home from work. My GI prefers fibroscan vs biopsy. He says he gets a better overall liver condition as far as fibrosis. He does it once yearly. Much like an ultrasound, but different in its own way. My first showed mild fibrosis.

I did! I have PBC PSC overlap. My spleen in enlarged and by the MRI my liver is "morphologically cirrhotic" but my fibroscan was well in the normal range. 🤔. Like perfectly normal.... Go figure that one out...

They diagnosed me as "early cirrhosis" in April. I'm due for another round of imaging in 2 weeks. Very anxious to see how I'm looking now.

You will be okay. It's an easy test. 👍🏻

I was misdaignosed as PBC/ AIH overlap less than a year ago "pre-clinical" about 11 months now. I started Urso and Prednisone then. I do not have the AIH part of the diagnosis so I was started on Prednisone for no reason. 😡

I have not been tapered off the Prednisone yet so I still take it and Urso. My labs have improved, my alkaline phosphate was over 1200 last year this time & it's just under 300 now.

About 2 weeks until I go back. I'm hoping for good news. 🤞🏻

Why are you still taking Prednisone you should be weaning off it what does your consultant say re this. I too was mid diagnosed with the overlap and my new consultant go me to wean off the steroid straight away.
