Hi, I was put on a 5 day of Trimethoprim for a UTI, finished the course and now my itching is a lot worse. Dr said it was ok take and wouldn’t affect my liver. Has anyone else had this problem?

I haven’t had this situation but it you change your antibiotics don’t take Nitrofurantoin as that was the drug that the hepatologist said triggered my PBC. I find all antibiotics hard on my body.

Thank you. I’ll remember that. I took an anti fungal drug. Terbidefine/lamasil. That’s what set mine off.
