Multi vitimin

Hello I need advise on a good multivitamin . In the U.K. Are , holland and Barrett good ? Thank you

I was told my Consultant to be careful with multivitamins as there is no one tablet to suit all. Some brands have higher doses of certain vitamins than others. He told me that higher amounts of certain vitamins and minerals can be harmful to the liver. For me he prescribed Keovite liquid and tablets. So it would be worth checking with your Consultant before taking any.

I use Bodykind who have a good reputation. Higher Nature do a multi vitamin without added iron. I also use a vitamin D with K spray. I am on holiday and do not have it with me but you can telephone or email the people at Bodykind if you cannot find anything that you need. I have just recently bought incognito anti mosquito for this holiday and it is a very good natural insect repellant. bodykind.com

I am sure you can get Higher Nature in Holland and Barrett.

There is also a very useful recording on You Tube "Ask the Experts Roundtable on PBC" where the doctor talks of the need for those of us with PBC to take vitamins A D E and K. I believe this is dependant upon your stage of PBC and should be checked with your doctor.

Any supplements are best taken at a different time to any medication you are on.
