Used Ursofalk for too long but...

Today I’m very sure as since I have stopped taking the Ursofalk last January this itch has gone. May be a little not as much nor as horrible any way I have been on it for very long time and I believe my body has developed antibodies against it. Thanks everyone for replying and I happen that all get the care and treatment that suits their need.

Evailbrahim60,

You've stopped your URSO? I'm trying to understand your post. Since you've stopped you say your itching has subsided? You mentioned your body developed antibodies against the medication? Did the URSO stop working for you?

Just read all your previous posts. Can you try Ocaliva? There are some on here who are on it and handling it well. How are you feeling today? How are your numbers? Bilirubin, Albumin?

Thanks Stella for caring and replying. I don’t know exactly what is the numbers on my blood test but I know that it wasn’t good after stoping. On fenofibrate to see if it works for me! Not sure yet. As for Ocaliva it’s on trial here and not sure about it yet. My doctors have driven me crazy they can’t give me sur diagnosis nor right treatment. I have tried to change doctors but put between them they forced me back to one I don’t want to continue with. Just waiting to see if medication works or not and next step to change doctors or stop seeing all.

Boy that sounds frustrating. I'm sorry that's the case. It's hard enough dealing with the disease. Keep us posted please, let us know how you're doing. ❤

Where are you in the world? The doctor/consultant situation you are in sounds dreadful

I’m in Melbourne Australia. My GP has given my a referral to see a good one but as it has to be at the public hospital they gave me a different one who was under the supervision of pervious one! 😆 🤔 Thanks for replying. Eva

Itching is listed amongst the possible side effects of urso.

The thing is it wasn’t that much of it for 15 years but last 2 years of taking it it became horrible to the point That I said if there is no other medication It doesn’t matter that was it with it. My body was rejecting it!

I can understand that. But, maybe you should be on another treatment? To slow the progress.
