Can anyone help explain what the following means please:
Ultrasound - liver parenchyma is finely heterogenous throughout (is that good or bad?)
Fibroscan - LSM 7.9kPa, IQR 0.9kPa, CAP 180dB/m
I've had a look online but can't get a simple answer and I know there's lots of people here who can give me some direction.
My fibroscan is definitely an improvement as I got an LSM score of 10.4 2 years ago, but this is the first time I've been given as much info. My problem is that I only got this after my session with the doctor in KCH so didn't get the opportunity to ask what it all means.
Also... while I'm here.. I know many have mentioned the titre in relation to the ANA positivity and for the first time I've seen that quoted on the letter to my GP practice. It's quoted as 1:320 - any help on that too?
I know things are going in the right direction in terms of the various LFT results so am happy enough that whatever is happening re the PBC it's slowed /halted by the Urso, but would like to understand the new info I've been given.
Hope everyone is enjoying fine weather and good health (or as good as it can be). Many thanks. Adele

I can't really interpret all your results, but I can give you three websites that may be of help - you also may have already found them, but just in case here they are.
I wasn't sure what 'heterogeneous-liver-parenchyma' was, now I do - thank you for asking that question, I have learnt something new today. See link below:
Now the fibroscan results - the link I have put here seems to be very good. If you scroll down to the very last video titled "Liver stiffness measurement (fibroscan®) from Samir Haffar" you will find a very comprehensive explanation of fibroscan results.
Hi Di. Well, despite me trying to find evidence to the contrary it looks like I've still got a mildly fatty liver.... no getting away from it... double checked the spelling etc but I've got to face up to it. I've reduced fat and never had much sugar in my diet so just have to keep going with that. I'm not going to worry about the ANA etc . It is what it is. Was just curious about the actual level but it really makes no difference so I'm not sweating it, as the saying goes. As far as the fibroscan is concerned It's showing things going in the right direction and that's all I need to worry about. Thanks for your links though - it's useful to get more insight in any case.
