Lower tummy pains with Urso

Hi, i was diagnosed with PBC in December and i am in my 3rd week of taking Urso, 3 x day. For the past 2 weeks i have a bloated tummy which is tender and a painfull lower tummy. It seems to get worse after each dose of Urso. The last dose is the most painfull. Is this normal and will it pass when i get used to the meds ?

Yes I had a bloated tummy with Urso plus other side effects so I’m going to see if there is an alternative medication but I was on Urso for the last 15 years. I think for you it might be better if you can increase your water intake and try fo balanced diet then see, it’s early stage yet and you might be able to put up with it. There is several people in here who learned the hard way it’s vital and important for their liver to continue with Urso.

Thanks Eva, trying to have a balanced diet and i will increase my water intake and see if this helps. I think i can tolerate it at this level, just hope it doesnt get any worse. Thanks so much for your advice.
