PBC can cause a drop in vitamin D, as the liver cannot absorb it, and without this you may also not be getting enough calcium.
Bone aches and pains are typical of a lot of people with PBC, it is one of the main symptoms, and your Dr should know this - I assume you mean a liver specialist, as this is who you should have seen, if it is PBC.
I would contact the 'PBC Foundation' who run this site. There is a link to their website at the top of this page, and once there you will find links so that you can talk to their trained advisors (phone, or email) who are lovely, learned and helpful. Also the website has loads of information. There is, possibly, a lot more that can be done and that you can maybe do, to ease your pain.
Please do talk to them, as they are the experts and are so helpful.
