Im ok🙂

Thank you everyone for your concern & kind words. Yes, I've needed to take a bit of a break from a lot of things. A lot has happened since my most recent visit to my heptologist. He's happy with where my numbers are. Even though they're still a bit out of wack. That seems to be the norm for us all. I did receive a letter from Indiana university, Dr Masuoka, stating that I've been diagnosed with something called Gilbert's Syndrome. The only side effect is that my skin becomes jaundice when I am ill with something like the flu, & my bilirubin remains elevated. Im wondering now how do I tell the difference between the jaundice from the Gilbert's or from the cirrhosis? Then I've endured a few losses in the past month. My sister-in-law father passed & three of our family pets. Both of my eldest daughters parakeets died within weeks of each other. But the one that is the most difficult for me is my sweet sweet fur baby Sophie, my cat. She died unexpectedly the night before last & she was right beside me. It happened so fast & Im feeling a bit lost without her. She was at my side everyday & always seemed to know when I was having a bad day. It's crazy how difficult it is to lose a furry companion. It's as if I've lost my best friend 😢. Things have been so difficult lately that my depression seems to be getting worse. I just want out of this rut that I've managed to get myself into. Yes, I said that I was ok, but maybe Im not.

Stay strong (or at least try)❣️

Shannon

Oh my😔 you have had a lot to cope with. So sorry for your losses. I understand about the four legged fur balls. I have 2 inside cats. Sunny is 9 yrs & Bella (Maine Coon) is barely one year. Love my babies. You take care of yourself & we’ll look forward to hearing from you when things are better. 💖

Sophie was still young for a kitty. I brought her home three years ago on Oct 2nd. She was born with issues so I had to wait a couple of extra weeks to pick her up from the foster family while they treated her. She was a baby when I got her. Im pretty sure she had gotten into something in our basement unfortunately. It was as if she couldn't catch her breath. I was in the process of finding a 24 hour vet. We couldn't have gotten her there, nor could anyone have made it to our house it happened so fast. My heart is so broken.

That’s so sad. It leaves a big hole in your heart. My Sunny, he’s such a little man, requires so little extra attention. Bella, is my shadow. Where I am, she’s there also. They are our little comforters🌷

Hi Shulsey

I am sorry to read of all the trouble in such a short space of time, especially of Sophie who was so close to your heart. People will say they are only animals but I believe they become part of the family or as you say a best friend and sadly we must go through the process of mourning until we find that special place in our hearts where our treasures bring us peace rather than pain. Take care and be kind to you.

best wishes

Oh dear one... just sending hugs and prayers.

when it rains it pours.. and when it pours the basement floods..so it seems. May you find some small comfort today. Get and take whatever support you can there. I have found a good counselor can help with dealing with things. Take care. 🙏

I'm so sorry for your losses. You have had many recently and a pet is family in my house and when they die a part of me dies, so I can understand.

Take the time you need to mourn and take care of yourself. ❤

Nice to hear from you again, life can be so hard. It's terrible losing a pet. Got a little dog and he keeps me going and he's not been well lately dreading losing him. Hope things get better soon.

We have our very own little pet cemetery out back. We had to put our black lab Chloe down two years ago this Feb due to having melanoma. She was awesome & her & Sophie (my poor little kitty) were super close. Now they're together again with our great creator😇

Hi Shulsey,

Awe, I'm sorry to hear about all the stress and heart ache your going through . I have fur babies too. Many I've lost over the years. It hurts. I understand that pain. (hugs hugs hugs) poor little thing. 🐺 Your right about God. He is our hope and comfort. He knows the number of hairs on our head. He knows when even a sparrow falls to the ground. If these things matter to us... It matters to Him. Keep close to Him.

These AI's come in packs. I'm so sorry to hear about your new diagnoses too. PBC is enough to keep track of. I hope you have a good team of doctors around you. I have to stay on top of my doctors or I'd slip through the cracks. I've been having issues with my pancreas now. Ugh! More tests in my future. So it goes. 😔

Good to hear from you girl. Vent when you need too. We are here!

In your words...

Stay strong ♥️♥️ (or try too, but never alone. Always lean and rely on God) ...oh, and we're here for you too, ready to listen.

Stella ♥️

So sorry that you're going through such a rough time. I also a cat (got two rescue cats, a mother and son but the son had melanoma). Our pets are our family members and it's devastating to lose them. My condolences.

I've had numerous health issues as well and still do like many on here. I guess we all somehow cope but the reality is that you've really hit some major losses.

Take care.

i'm so sorry - that is awful lot to deal with. Maybe another pet will choose you as their person very soon (nothing makes me smile faster than a happy cat/dog face).

Do something decadent and nice for yourself

HUGS!

Shannon,

Hugs and kisses goes without saying, but I want to say/help you get out of your rut. Rest if you need to, that is important. But if you are staying in bed or not doing things because you are bummed, you have to turn that around. It is something you have to work at. Start surrounding yourself with the positive even if you don't feel like it. Watch comedy or mood lifting shows if you are resting. Get outside in the fresh air, sun and trees, even if it is only to sit on a park bench. Surround yourself with a positive friend/friends or make a new one. You might not feel like it at first. So it is ok to fake it until it becomes real and it will. Ruts affect our mood and health far worse than we know and everyone here needs you back as healthy as you can be.

We are all here for you Shannon!

No, not on any antidepressants, but I do take a med for my anxiety. I also see a therapist once a month. We are checking into my having post traumatic stress syndrome (PTSD) due to stress & extreme mental, physical, & emotional abuse I went through years ago. I was in my early twenties. Plus we're working with the depression. Thank you everyone for all of you kind words & support.

Stay strong❣️
