Can I use paracetamol or diclofinac by Pbc ?I have a terible shoulder pain ,can not move my arm !!

I can only go by what my liver specialist and only for paracetamol. It was on my list of questions as I had read here, online elsewhere that I couldn't take or best not to and a gastro man said no. But I am in a liver unit and as we do not see them daily or always have access I asked because I may be in pain in the future toothache, anything really. I was told yes fine if in a lot of pain but try to keep under the recommended daily doses.
Taking Diclophenic was the trigger that started the whole PBC thing for me after bloods were taken and showed high liver readings. Have you tried Accupuncture/pressure or Physio for your pain? May be worth a try rather than tablets. Good luck
i was told in the short term paracetamol should be the only OTC pain killer to use but to stay within the recommended dose and if I needed pain relief in the longer term to see my doctor.
It sounds like your shoulder is quite painful if you can't move your arm perhaps you should get this looked at, the doctors may be able to prescribe something stronger.
Sounds like you have a frozen shoulder. I had physio for mine.
yes more so paracetamol i have been told and i use piroixcam /feldene jel i have arthritis in both shoulders and also manyother joints and i have fibromyalgia hope your pain settles qhickly also diclofenac my doctor won t issue linked to heart attacks aplarrntly
I hurt all over terribly so i started getting deep tissue massages. They hurt like all get out for a few days but then i ease off. I use aleve moderately. I have a cream called voltaren it works really great. Its not like bio freeze.
Narco and amoxicillin combo set my pbc levels off. I had a tooth infection was prescribed this. The combo had me doubled over in pain. They first told me i had hepatitis never checked the autoimmune aspect.
I hope you find what works for you and doesnt irritate your liver. I do agree if it continues seek medical advice.

I use Dicofenac topical cream for shoulder/neck pain.
So, the information is correct: paracetamol would be the painkiller of choice. However, if someone has a broken leg, then paracetamol isn't going to ease the pain.
You need to look at your current situation holistically, taking into account every condition you have, not just your PBC. A call to your consultant's department will usually help here: telling you what the next best step is in terms of meds and whether or not you need to have bloods taken, etc.
As ever, there are more ways to combat pain than just with meds.
I hope the pain eases soon...
Robert.
