Pbc & liver transplant
Hi, always ready to chat . Had PBC and a transplant. Ask away any questions...
Hi thanks for your reply. I am only 11 weeks post. After op we obv still have pc as transplant takes away the damaged liver only. Do you haveall any pbc symptoms at all now or they all gone after transplant. Also wondering why we are not on urso again to protect our new liver being attacked from the beginning x
Hi, I had my transplant in June 2013, I have the itch back and clay colour stopped but not everyone gets this. This may be because the surgeon done something he should not have. I still have the diabetes so I'm stuck with that, otherwise I live a fairly normal life. Just watching what I eat, as long as you take it steady and don't expect to run the London marathon this year you will be ok. As for urso I don't know why I never went back on it...
Thank you dad to hear the dreaded itch is back it was one of my worst symptoms,I really feel for you. I know it can start to attach our new liver so really interested in knowing why urso is not 1 of the meds we should be on for life. Is your bloods ok or they starting to ride again to. X
I had PBC and went n to have a transplant in 2004.
