Does this mean that I'm farther along because I feel liver tickling, fluttering like feeling. My only real complaint is being tired. I'm not sure that I would call it fatigue because if I had something to do I believe I could stay awake. I just don't know because I have nothing to do. I get a little prickly skin at night but nothing like what some of you are dealing with. I'm having my liver biopsy the 6th and I'm concerned that that might bring on some itching or new symptoms.
Sorry, Jenny, I don't have an answer for you.
However the info on Mayo Clinic web site help me organize my questions so I can bring them to my liver doctor when I see him in May.
I don't have elevated LFTs, GGT, IGM, or ANA but I do have elevated AMA M2, Lypase, Amylase and dilated bile duct. I have muscle and joint pain, chronic indigestion and itchy skin. I also have weakened muscle. Not sure if the itchy skin is caused by food allergy or PBC. I am going to see an allergist to see if I can rule it out. I am also doing a detox program because toxicity can cause pain and autoimmune disease.
I am also looking for a doctor who know how to use LDN and Alpha Lipoic Acid to treat liver disease.
Are you on any meds? How did it go? Wish you the best!!

I'm still taking Urso and now prednisone. My alp lowered but my ast and alt raised so the dr put added prednisone and now my enzymes are much lower. It's heart breaking because this now means that I have aih pbc cross over. He didn't say it yet but the blood work did. Im having a liver biopsy on the 6. He may tell me then that it's both. He didn't deny it when I told him that I know I have it. Did you have a biopsy
Sometimes I felt that we are the best investigator in our own health these days. I have not done biopsy yet. I am seeing a liver specialist in May. Honestly I prefer fibroscan than biopsy.
Sorry about your possible AIH and PBC cross over. Good luck with your biopsy. I pray that all goes well with the procedure and the result.
Best regards,
