Did u get a liver biopsy? That was the only way I was diagnosed and staged! High LFTs but no symptoms and negative AMA and all mris and ultrasounds were clear!

Just to give you hope. I am 76. I have 8 grandchildren . Ive travelled all over the world and for the last 3 years have had to look after my husband who has had serious health problems. My P B C is under control and I enjoy life.

That's great to know. What age and stage were u when you were diagnosed?

Hey!. You have plenty of life left in yet. Illnesses affect people in different ways. Just a few lifestyle changes and you will still get that telegram from the Queen when you get to be 100. Stay positive.

Thanks Brummi! Would there be any specific lifestyle changes that u recommend?

Hi, Lifestyle changes depends on a few things like what meds you are on, keeping stress levels down and if you feel fatigued have a rest for a short while. There are certain foods I cannot have as they affect my anti rejection meds. I had my transplant three years ago and as a 68 year old I feel good. Don't look for problems but deal with them as they occur. There is plenty of good people on here for support if you need them and the administrators are brilliant. Take care.

I have no idea what stage I am and have never wanted to know. I have never had a biopsy

either. I was actually told I had PBC when I was 60 but in my early 40`s I was refused as a blood donor. I never bothered to find out why, too busy. So I don't actually know when PBC started which doesn't really help you.

I would only say to you that no one knows what is round the corner, either for you or your family so get out there and enjoy every day.
