Hi
Just had blood test and told results were borderline. Ggt up and phosphares up, although better than last test. Phosphates down from 225 to 187. Can anyone tell me what the figures mean?

ALP will fluctuate up & down, within 100 points & this is normal, according to my liver Dr. He says he's not concerned about anything under 200, but ideally you hope to stay under 180. I hover around 200, on average. I have been as low as 137 & as high as 572, however, when it was 572, I had the flu & had been on OTC (over the counter) meds for 3 weeks, so that would have caused the spike.
What does alp stand for, is it alkaline phosphates ? Cos I can't find alp on my blood test results.
Yes it is, I think that and ggt are the main parts of the live function test that indicates problems with the bile ducts. Thats my understanding anyway, not 100% sure.
Liver function test I meant.
