I have been supplementing with b12 5000 mcg for over 10 months now. Recently I started noticing low sugar levels symptoms and consulted my doc and he checked my b12 and it was >2000. He suggested me to cut back on my dosage to 2500 mcg just twice a week. I started doing it and noticed my symptoms got better. However I started noticing a new symptom, I started feeing itchy all over my body I am not sure it is because of b12 or not. Does anyone have any information on this or experienced anything similar?

I have psoriasis, another autoimmune condition, which I'm still battling to improve. It disappeared with my loading doses, but returned in the long 3 month wait, after which I gave up on GP and got my own B12 supply. Despite my EOD regime, it's been a constant pain. Vitamin D is important for psoriasis and I've recently started taking milk thistle- don't if you have thyroid issues, as it's anti inflammatory. Sunshine and vitamin D for starters and good oily fish in your diet.
But if you think the cause is the drop in B12 in your system, I'd bump it up again. Serum B12 and functional B12 are different things.
Low blood sugar is the major symptom of type 2 diabetes - the symptoms of which are very similar to B12 deficiency. It's possible to have both and also to confuse the two.
