Wow...happening now in the USA. Curious if this is why B12 is hard to get across USA.

Really scary! And these aren't 'alternative medicines' but recognised medical treatments. Hope the BOP is stopped!

Are they not already doing similar here in UK. Three years ago my B12 injections were stopped as they were trying to put everyone on tablets, which they could buy themselves. Only people with PA were given injections back. However, I know I am not the only case, people who have had injections for years were told there must have been a mistake and they do not have PA so they stopped their injections as well. In my case symptoms came back they had to test again and found I DO have PA. Considering if you have it you have it for life, the doctor and haematologist who told me I did not have PA and stopped injections, were both lying to me, or both very bad at their jobs.

I'm not sure I understand what is happening here. So, this is legislation that would only exist in California and it only affects compounding pharmacies. I live in the US and the B12 I use doesn't come from a compounding pharmacy. Anything purchased from a compounding pharmacy is always much more expensive than ordering from a regular pharmacy. I order from a Canadian pharmacy and I suspect it will still be legal for people who live in California to do so too.

wow, well does that mean only for compound pharmacies? or all pharmacies that we get our B12 from. I get my b12 cyano from the regular pharmacy, and I've ordered from Uk and received b12 from the b12store.com, and there is from Canada also I've looked up and no need for prescription either.

and I also live in California. I don't see why these things have to happen.

I'm in NYC. I was diagnosed with pernicious anemia in 2018, when I ended up in an ER, unable to walk and in a dissociative state. I was discharged with a prescription for Zoloft. I returned 3 hours later, insisting that I be admitted, and fortunately, I was.

Within 2 days, I was diagnosed, and was started on loading doses. The mental fog lifted almost immediately, though some of the nerve damage was permanent.

Despite how clear it was that my situation had been dire - the next step was dementia and death - I could not find a doctor who would prescribe B12 oftener than once a month...and *that's* when I began ordering my injectable B12 from Germany.

It was one of the best decisions I have ever made.
