I am due to travel to Canada from the U.K. in October. I SI and so will need to take B12 , syringes and needles with me .
Can I put these in the hold luggage .Will there be any restrictions and is it likely the syringes etc will be confiscated at customs ? Any advice welcome .

Maybe check with your airline's website - most ask that medical supplies are carried in your hand luggage. I flew with BA recently, taking ampoules, needles and syringes, and had no problem at Heathrow or my destination. I'm sure you'll be fine, just think how many people with diabetes must fly every day. Have a great trip!
I live in BC, Canada. I don't need a prescription here to buy needles and injectable cyanocobalamin. I would guess it is the same in the rest of Canada? It is probably better though to bring what you are accustomed to taking.
Do you happen to know whether injectable hydroxocobalamin is available over the counter in Canada? I live in the US and hydroxocobalamin is available to my pharmacist only in 30 ML bottles, not in 1000 mcl ampules, so I would also need to get hydroxocobalamin shipped from Canada to the US.
I think mainly the cyanocobalamin is easily available. I looked into getting hydroxocobalamin at one point and it sounded like I would need a prescription and it has to be ordered at a compounding pharmacist so it could take some time to fill the prescription.
The requirement in Canada is that medication and needles be stored in carry on bags. I am in Canada and have travelled several times with my B12 and needles/ syringes in carry on and have never been questioned.
Hi. I went to Canada twice last year and carried my B12 and injections/syringes in my cabin bag. I had a lot as I was injecting daily. It wasn't questioned. I had my prescription with me - I was pleased not to be asked for it as I was prescribed monthly but injecting daily.
