Could someone please advise me on the auto injectors... I want to buy one, but I need to get it right if I'm going to spend €93...I gather you can use your own syringes and needles... I'm thinking of getting the 90°/M.... Any advice would be much appreciated ☺

Auto injectors...... ☺
Hi
I got mine from versandApo.de they do intramuscular and subcutaneous auto injectors. You need to decide which one you require. I have the intramuscular one with blue needle0.6 x 30 mm and syringe size 3ml. Again you can choose which ever size you feel best but once you have chosen you can’t change either the needle or syringe size as the auto injector is set up to the specific size you require.
I found the best way to see what size needle required was to look on line at a measuring guide to how deep a layer of fat and muscle you have then measure yourself. I can only use the auto injector into my thighs and it has worked out fantastic for me. I’m not the bravest of people at self injecting so this auto injector was a life saver.
Best of luck to you.
Xx
Forgot to say mine is also the 90 degree one
Hi... ☺... Thanks for your kind reply....I though I could use my own size syringes and needles instead of buying theirs... Thats what I read on a previous post... Also I use the same size needle for my arms and thighs.. Is that OK or do I have to buy everything from them...????... ☺
You can just buy the auto injector but it does come with designated needles and syringes 10 of each I believe . I just buy the same size from other suppliers. You just need to specify which size when you buy as auto injector to be set up accordingly to the sizes.
Thanks for that ☺... I'll get on with ordering 😊... All the best for the future ☺
I just watched a video with a woman in her bathroom using one and it appears that you still have to press the plunger down maybe that should be obvious I was there would be no other way I don’t know but am I correct in understanding now that all the thing does is push the needle down through your flesh and then you have to push the plunger down?
thank you and sorry for butting in.
I am very new to self injecting have only been doing sub cutaneous now since the ninth of this month and am about to start intramuscular as soon as I get up the nerve, because I just got my supplies for it yesterday.
Yes that is correct. I find it very easy to use and a lot less painful than a normal injection. As long as you plunge it slowly which still only takes seconds then you generally don’t feel any discomfort. I found it much easier than doing without the auto injector but I am a bit of a wimp injecting myself and this took all the stress away.
Best of luck to you xx
Could also go on diabetes forum and ask as well. Saw one on amazon called 'Autopen Classic'.
Just a suggestion.
