Should I load up after a lull

Hello. I've been injecting methylcobalamin monthly for about 6 years successfully after being diagnosed with PA. Over the last few months I started getting some neuropathy in my fingers again. I suspect that my methylcobalamin mix had lost its potency. My question is should I do loading doses daily or twice weekly for a while until symptoms go away or should I just continue at my normal monthly dosage (with the fresh B12). In other words should I load up in order to address the symptoms? I'm leaning towards yes because "why not?"

If you on 'catch up ' I would inject more frequency for while

When I get a backward slide of symptoms I tend to inject more frequently in the hope they will subside.

I have just come out of a wretched flare up so resorted to doing the loading dose again. I hope your symptoms resolve soon.

It would not hurt to load for awhile. Ideally you want to be on a schedule where you do not get neuropathy in your fingers.

As you refer to the “ Methylcobalamin mix” that you are using , am I right in assuming that you are using rehydrated Methylcobalamin powder ? It is important to know that the rehydrated mix should not be kept for longer than 1 month .This is not only for potency reasons , but also because of possible contamination .

I agree with the others . I would also inject more frequently until your neuropathy symptoms are gone . Very best wishes .

Yes, rehydrated powder. The manufacturer told me recently that, if stored in the dark, it will last 6 months mixed. I had gone over that. Where did you get your "1 month" mixed life information? I've had no issues with contamination the way I mix it.

Hi AirAl

It may be worth contacting our very knowledgeable WIZARD6787 as he mixes and does a lot of research on safety and longevity of substances. I would love to try a methylcobalamin mix but I am not brave enough.

Good luck.

Hello, I use the powdered methylcobalamin mix daily, I fill syringes for two days and vial lasts up to 40 days max. I am scrupulous with disinfection routine. X

Thanks. I've got a great mixing procedure and usage process, with very little risk of contamination. No problems for 6 yrs. I just went too long and had this last batch lose its potency. I'm going to max it out at 6 months from the mix date (per the lab). 2 mg a month works for me. All the best. -Al
