Adenosylcobalamin injections. Where can this be purchased??

GoneWithTheWind1972 profile image

Just wanting to know from anyone, where can I purchase injectable Adenosylcobalamin as I would like to trial this if I can find more improvement with my healing. I’m in Australia so, delivery is also a possible problem with this purchase. Information will be greatly appreciated.

Hi GoneWithTheWind1972,

I am very sorry I do not know about importing to Australia. However, I am curious as to know why Adenosylcobalamin and not cyanocobalamin nor methylcobalamin. I understand that you have Crohn’s disease. So, can have lots of severe intolerances and reactions.

Hopefully someone else can help you.

Best wishes

Hi Narwal,

I’m currently on Methylcobalamin SC daily. I’m aware that the body will convert methyl to adeno and hydroxo somewhere but, wondered if further benefits could occur if I also SC adeno? I’ve read some people on this forum do both hence my curiosity about purchasing adeno to use in conjunction with methyl.

Crohn’s has certainly hindered my ability to absorb vitamins correctly so, I’m open to suggestions to improving my overall health. I’m aware of German companies with adeno ampoules but, don’t ship to Australia. I’ve also located sublingual adeno and am seriously considering this option but, I first want to exhaust my online options for SC adeno first. I appreciate your time to reply.🙏😁

My pleasure,

Crohn’s disease is a devil and can cause multiple deficiencies. I do not blame you for trying to source it. Good luck with it.

Completely agree with you! Throw PA into the mix, it’s been completely frustrating trying to reverse/control all the complexities associated with this. Thank you for your response.😊

Hi Wedgewood,

I found a post from this forum posted six years ago, requesting Adenosylcobalamin injections, the reply was ‘Arnika’ but, they only sell through ‘Intravita.com’ in the UK but, are very expensive. I tried navigating through the German website but, had no success because it was all in German. The Intravita website in my search requests a prescription and couldn’t see if they export to Australia. Maybe you may have some luck navigating through these websites. I have also found a locally sourced Adenosylcobalamin in sublingual form (also made in the highest quality and standards) which I’m considering as a plan B if I can’t source an injectable product. Scientifically speaking, somehow in the methylation process, Methylcobalamin is converted also into Adenosylcobalamin (don’t ask me how🤪 as not scientifically inclined) but, if any absorption issues occur anywhere in this process, may not completely correct/rectify the deficiency so, I feel I may benefit somehow in regards to my neuropathy, with Adenosylcobalamin hence my curiosity. Please correct me if I’m wrong anyone. Please post if you (or anyone else) have success with this.😊

Arnika have now stopped selling through Intravita . They have also stopped selling to U.K.

You could try Adenosylcobalamin tablets .

Hi, I'm sorry that I can't help with your query, but as you are in Australia I just wondered if you had tried B12 Oils ( b12oils.com/index.htm ) and if you had found them helpful. They do have an adenosyl only as well as adenosyl/methyl and others. On Pure Health ( purehealthclinic.co.uk/ ) - Micki Rose's very helpful Master List of supplements for those who are truly grain free/hypersensitive speaks well of them:

'B12 oils (They sell Methyl, Adenosyl and Adeno/Methyl combined) They couldn't confirm for me whether they came from corn or not and insisted that it didn't matter, as they are highly purified products. They are transdermal, so bypass the stomach and are better absorbed. Christine has been okay with them, but she did have to take it very slowly and work up gradually (this can be achieved by pouring some of the liquid into a small brown dropper bottle, but care not to let too much light in.) Ten drops equal one spray. They are in Australia, but ship to most places in the World.'

(Christine tests a lot of the featured products, as does Micki, and both are very sensitive indeed)

Best wishes

Thanks Bookish for your reply,

I will definitely be looking into this alternative method, it sounds very promising and interesting. I’ll be referring back to this forum with results in the future.🙏😊
