Some do heal with minimal treatment.

It is hard as there is no way to know how their life might be different with different treatment.

I do not buy into it is established that it is about delay of treatment and or severity of symptoms. There is no basis for stating that as fact although it often is done so with total confidence and accepted.

There are 50 + currently known that utilize B12 and 6 +- genetic conditions known. There is not a way to determine which are causing symptoms that may be helped with supplementation.

I have found no rational reason that any amount less then EOD should be evaluated. EOD is the logical minimum although the accepted maximum.

Why it is helpful for me to know that minimal treatment is accepted as a success is it helps to explain why some physicians and some who experienced B12D symptoms make the conclusions they do. Myopic view.

I work on not having a myopic view in that I do not state anyone else needs to self treat the way I do. I also am done with people who pretend they know what I need to heal.

Yes , I agree with you WIZARD6787 . Because B12 deficiency/ Pernicious Anaemia is so very under-researched , no-one can be dogmatic as to how it should be treated, and so we all have to find our own salvation .

And we already know how varied that can be by just reading the postings on this forum . ……

Thank you for your detailed observations . Best wishes .

Hey wedgewood,

With my study of B12 I no longer see the many symptoms of B12 as a mystery other than it is not understood. That there are many symptoms and varied is to be expected.

The variety of self-treatments is based on so many factors. Including what is accepted/works. There is no continuity in evaluating success and this is a factor in people's choices.

The severity of symptoms and onset of symptoms is so ambiguous I do not use the concept anymore. As I am not symptomatic I now use the criteria of how well can I now feel. More how I experience rather than blindly use what I can experience.

Research underfunding is not the issue it is that no research is being done based on symptoms rather the quest for the holy grail of bio-indicators.

I do think any condition including PA / b12 deficiency has a quicker better outcome if treated in infancy when only the very first symptoms appear.

Then an individual works out what's best for them.

Well the forum may have experienced growth. A year ago I was told by many I and no one else could have experienced B12 deficiency symptoms as an infant or I would have died.

Although not much is known about the treatment of B12 deficiency I am almost sure I am not dead. 🙂

I agree with the concept of early intervention I would not trust a physician to not do more harm than good. Many children were killed by physicians who performed tonsillectomy in my age group, many people were harmed by lobotomies and electric shock etc. This was done with the same level of confidence physicians know best. That stays the same as does no facing they fail.

I'm using the term infancy as in early stages of development. Not a baby or young child.
