Walking in the rain !

Just caught the end of Michael Mosley on radio 4 this morning.

From what I was able to gather, walking and breathing in the air filled negative ions from rain, or or just after, is good for the immune system, and more 🤗

Repeated on BBC Sound.

Ah, its good to know that getting caught in a heavy downpour at the weekend and getting wet through to my nicky nacky noos was good for me 🤣

So agree ! Started out fine at the weekend until a sudden downpour ended with sheltering inside thorny bushes with the dog.

Good to know there’s always an upside -🤗 It’s the first time I’ve seen so many amazingly different types of mushrooms appearing everywhere here !

Obviously MM hasn't looked into the contents being sprayed into our skies 🥲 Sorry to be a 'party pooper'....

I just tried to post a photo of lots of the smaller mushrooms in a large group by the cattle dung. They looked as if they’re having a meeting about it!

Ooh that brings back childhood memories of my Dad bringing in milk buckets full of field mushrooms - yum ! We lived on a dairy farm ....

Carl Jung once wrote about having his most important ‘answer to life’ dream - when he woke, he realised with shock it was a pile of dung! Maybe it is……… natural fertiliser ? !

And underground fungi networks, apparently, are everywhere feeding and communicating with plants and trees…….

Maybe all of it is telling us we’ve grown too far from nature and should just be standing in the rain, listening and going back to the natural world more for answers? 😳

Another reason for not giving up eating meat or drinking milk…….

Agree about the meat. Human beings evolved eating meat. But milk is a different matter. Humans only domesticated cows fairly recently. Up to 65% of humans are lactose intolerent - I am one.

Yes, sorry, charks, if you are lactose intolerant as my sister is, not a good idea to drink milk.

I'm also a celiac. My favourite meal used to be french bread, baked camembert and a glass of wine. Thank the gods I can still drink wine or life wouldn't be worth living. On the plus side I now weigh 8 stone 11 and don't have gastric reflux.

Ooh that sounds yum. I can drink milk but have had to give up gluten and even a tiny glass of wine😧

Tum is very happy now though 🤗

PS. I once worked for a farmer, who brought the first Charolais cattle to England - none of his family would drink milk 😳

I have many pics of wonderful 🍄but I've not been able to share photos on this site :-( - there was a programme about them last year I think: the magic of mushrooms

Well, I think I'm going to get an opportunity to test his theory this morning as one of my jobs is to walk my neighbour's dogs and it's been raining for some time and doesn't look like stopping any time soon! ☔☔🙄

By choice I'm definitely a fair-weather animal carer! 😂

In practice I have every sort of clothing to protect against the weather that there is! I'll give it a few more minutes... 🤞😃

Some feel the rain, others get wet.

Just love the scene of "Just singing and dancing in the rain" in the musical, but haven't the energy, so I too just get wet....lol

but since I am on EOD again my mood has lifted. I even frightened my dogs the other day when I laughed out loud, and they hadn't heard me make that sound in years....happy days are here again.....😍

So glad EOD injection has made such a difference 🤗

Yes, remembering many of those musicals with nostalgia and particularly that wonderful dancing and singing scene with Debbie Reynolds, Donald O’Connor? and Gene Kelly 👏

Going really way back to find Johnnie Ray singing, ‘Walking in the Rain’.

went to the clinic to finally get bloods taken, the B12 injections will slew it a bit, but folate and iron and intrinsic facter should be useful, and I nearly walked out without my stick. I am feeling so much better, my body is willing to start walking without a stick. definitely feeling so much happier. I wish I could give you all a slice of it.....
