Pain in the
Hi winterrose, yes I have had terrible foot pain and calf pains for years. For me it is p.a. related. Other symptoms included numbness and tingling. Reported all to the doctor over the years but was generally ignored. Don't ignore it, as I woke up with pain all over eventually. I now have the jabs every week and have improved slowly over the last six months. It is taking time to get better so don't let it get that far as I did. Hope my story is of some help because it just isn't worth letting things get that bad and then having to recover from it all. Regards Barbara
Hi Barbara I also have pins and needles and numbness in my fingers' when I told my Dr, I was told that this was symptoms of my Pa and like you were also ignored . I have an appointment next week again so I'm going to try an get my jabs more often as I get headaches also and generally feel unwell most days kind regards Tracey
I used to get cramp like pains in my left foot - the one that seems to suffer most - and it just felt like a lump of meet with the bed clothes weighing down heavily on it. However, not got the cramp now I've got my levels right ... and the foot feels like a foot as well.
Hi Winterrose
I've suffered with Cramps for years too go back and ask the doctor to prescribe you quinine as they help you manage the cramps they don't get rid of them but they do help with how many you get and the severity of the attack
You can buy something called crampex from chemist, seems to work I've been told. Allways thought it was to do with a shortage of magnesium..Marre.
Weird remedy for night cramps, told to me by my Yoga teacher. Put some corks (yes corks!), underneath your mattress. Between the mattress and the base, we've used six under a double mattress. Don't ask me how or why it works, but it has worked for her and me and several others from our class. It's supposed to work for restless legs too. Can't hurt to try it! She'd forgotten all about the corks, it had been a year of no cramp. When she visited a friend and stayed overnight, she was in agony with cramp. The next day she visited a restaurant, and there were corks on top of the plant pots. She secretly pocketed a few to take back to her friends house, lo and behold a cramp free night!! MariLiz
I used to be bothered by really bad cramps in my foot arch at night which would almost make me scream out. Just realised I have not had any in months since started B12. Probably a placebo effect LOL
Hi Winterrose, I have just had a naturopathic appointment and they have prescribed alpha lipoic acid 600mg and then to try N-acetyle carnitine if the alpha lipoic acid doesnt change the symptoms. This is for the neuropathy. I will keep you posted on whether it works or not. Barbara
I take magnesium every night and my calf and foot cramps have gone
