Slippery elm for gastritis
I haven’t actually tried slippery elm , but it sounds like a good idea. I remember it from my childhood . I would think it has a similar action to porridge . It is very beneficial to the stomach . A natural product , which can do no harm. I had forgotten about its existence!
Certainly worth trying out for stomach pain and bloating etc which one can get with P.A.
Shocked to find ( on Amazon ) how expensive it now is ! Used to be obtainable at chemists , quite cheaply ! We are talking about 75 years ago though !
Yes, I've taken a large teaspoon full on my portage every morning for the past nine months. Along with Aloe Vera liquid and now Juvia. This regime has certainly calmed my whole digestive tract. I rarely drink fizzy drinks and no alcohol.
Hi Helliborous,
Yes, I have tried. Other deficiencies can cause gastritis such as zinc and other vitamin Bs. However, we are all different. What works for one does not necessarily for another.
