Does anyone have experience with b12d recovery setbacks after Covid? I am 2 months into weekly injections, and had really started so see improvements. Then Covid struck. I am 18 days post-positive test…and my leg tremors have become far more noticeable, along with a resurgence of nerve pains in my hands and feet. Suffice to say I am beyond frustrated, and hoping that this will improve after a few injections.

Yrs I had a big set back with covid Took about 5 weeks to get back to where i was .
Then got another non covid throat and oral thrush and then dental problems.
Another ? 8 weeks.
You will get there but knock backs difficult.
I had 'old' symptoms over the BH w/ end .scary and hoping to pick up again after b12 injection this morning 🤞
For me lights on in the house earlier not helping either .
Yes covid has set me back hugely. I’m having to SI x 2 per day. Can’t do anything but pace and wait to recover again!
Covid set my healing back by a year unfortunately. In hindsight I think I should have increased my injections to twice a day or at least daily for faster recovery.
Following. I didn’t know I had B12 deficiency during the four times I had COVID, but what I now recognise as its symptoms worsened progressively after each infection. I guess the silver lining of this is that all the investigations started after time four. Bit worried about how I’ll fare after time five.
This case paper makes the suggestion that COVID can lower B12/increase the body’s use of it - pesquisa.bvsalud.org/global...
I got Covid at the very end of 2020, and for a while couldn't raise the energy to administer injections so went without (for a week I think ?)
Once I felt able, I self-injected every other day for 2 or 3 weeks until I felt back on track. My usual regime then was a two-day gap between injections, and I returned to that.
My sister, who has quite a few autoimmune conditions, including Grave's disease, got Covid more recently, despite her best efforts to avoid and shield, and is now being tested for long Covid.
I am hoping that they will give her B12, even though pernicious anaemia is not part of her problem. It has been used in research trying to find ways to keep Covid patients off respiratory machines - B12 along with vitamin D and magnesium (DMB) - with some success.
Yes I was set back severely for 30 days. It was 60 days before I considered the experience in my past.
when I had covid last time, I went without injections for about 4 or 5 days as I couldn't face doing them. However when I felt up to it, I started back on every other day for a couple of weeks to help.
I had an injection yesterday and I have tested positive again today, although not feeling half as bad as I did last time, I will be doing every other day for the next couple of weeks, just so I know that b12 isnt part of any issues I may be having.
There is no harm in having extra, so always worthwhile to boost yourself when you are run down.
COVID triggered my PA . I realise now I did have a B12 deficiency before. My Dr. and the nurse that had me diagnosed have both commented that COVID is causing PA, in their experience. So it's bound to use up available B12 in the system, even if it's just the immune system on overdrive, let alone the virus needing it to replicate.
I was self injecting every other day before Covid. After Covid I felt I needed to inject daily and I’m still doing so a year later. Both myself and my partner (not Vit B12 deficient) were exhausted for about 3 months after having Covid.
