Changed GP surgery

I had my first appointment at my new GP surgery this morning and was very hopeful that he would listen to me but he was very unsympathetic even when I said I was grieving for my son who I lost last year. I told him I had 5 injections in the past few weeks and he said I should be feeling better now and to continue with tablets. Admittedly, he hasn’t got my records yet but even so his bedside manner was lacking in empathy. Just wanted to express my feelings of disappointment.

How sad to hear you lost your son yet this new Gp gave you no empathy. I have changed surgeries over the years in the hope of getting a little understand of my conditions. It seems Gps have lost their bedside manner.

I can fully understand the system is stretched to its limits but what ever has happened to patient care ? We have paid into the NHS all our working years yet the older we get the less care we get ! ! !

I can feel your anguish and wish I could comfort you in some way. 🤗💐

hello, this gp obviously does not know about B12D/P.A.

Furthermore, it is simply awful that he showed no understanding or empathy toward you about the loss of you son.

I feel sad and upset for you. Best wishes x

Sorry to hear this, and the loss of your son. Is there another GP at the surgery you could see?

I have found having changed GP surgery many times that most of them are rubbish but there will be one or two in a surgery worth seeing. It is helpful to find out which doctors are always booked up with people wanting to see them and get yourself in that que.

Hi, I'm so sorry to hear about your son and how you've been treated. It's just not acceptable for a doctor to be so lacking in empathy.

I hope you can consult a more knowledgeable and kind GP.

Love and best wishes xx
