Hi all,
Noticed several comments recently about the restrictions on 'characters' when completing an online Consultation form for GP.
I had the same problem when using our surgery online consultation request form last year - typed in my symptoms and concerns, pressed Enter to have the form refused for too many words - well, characters. Not only did the form get stopped in its tracks, but got deleted too, so no opportunity to edit.
I hit upon the idea of putting my request in a Word document (or similar programme, even Text Edit I think works), then do a Word Count in the Tools and it will give you a word count, or character count including the spaces. Then it gives you the chance to edit your request and hone it to the salient points and concerns. When you've done that, copy and paste into your online GP consultation form to send. Might save some time and headaches and swearing!
Hope that helps.
