I have injected sc about a dozen times into tummy over a period of about 6 months . I have 8 weekly jabs IM with no reaction. My sc jabs always cause redness and slight itchiness but this time the site is very itchy and hypersensitive from Wednesday (today Saturday )I have taken anti histamine but no help and used Sudocrem. My concern is possible allergic reaction. Any ideas please?

Does the SC jab start itching immediately or a little while after? If the latter, I had the same problem. I started putting a tissue between my tummy & trousers, as a sort of barrier. I leave it there at least 30 minutes or so. Never had a problem since. I suspect it had something to do with sweat interacting with the injection site. Hope that helps!

I have both too.I occasionally get a pink mark after sc or a small bruise.

However I get bruises from IM sometimes too, they are more painful.

Are you using a needle that suits you,?

The same b12?

Do you use a alcohol wipe?

Are you making a roll if flesh?

Only ideas

Thank you for your help. I’m not v good at using this site so hopefully my thanks goes to all who answered . I used the yellow 13 mm needle same as before.I did use a wipe this time and that may have caused the reaction of severe itching. I found atube of eumovate which I had used for previous skin problem and this did help. I’m jab at drs soon so won’t do sc till week after and hopefully all ok. My skin always goes pink after sc locally but not after IM.was the same B12 and I’ve got plenty to roll!

Thank you
