I suffer from leg cramps at night time- I'm (72) diabetic and on insulin

Also, I take statin tablet in the evening

Will it help to change it to morning OR any other type ?

Please make your suggestions [T/Q] 😊

I don’t think it has anything to do with statins , but why not try taking it in the morning ? Supplementing with magnesium often helps with night -cramps .

Cramps are one of the symptoms of B12D. B12D is preventing the body from producing enough red blood cells to get oxygen to muscle tissues. You aren't getting enough B12 supplements.

Magnesium taken at night works for me. If I forget or run out, I’m in trouble 😏

I take statins and Metformin at night. Like the other members have suggested, Magnesium tablets work for me too.

Like others, I've found supplementing with magnesium (glycinate for me) helps my night cramps. I also make sure I'm sufficiently hydrated.

I space out my magnesium during the day and one day last week I missed my early evening supplements and glass of water and ended up with major cramps in the early hours of the morning.

I hope you find something that works for you.

I need to take potassium citrate morning and night to keep my leg cramps from happening. What I got in my diet wasn't enough. I also take magnesium glycinate. I had a friend who found he needed more salt in his diet to stop his leg cramps.

PrettySALLY please bear in mind that this forum isn't a substitute for professional medical advice. Please talk to a pharmacist taking any form of supplement. Some magnesium supplements can cause diarrhoea in some people and best to make sure that it isn't going to interact with any other medication you are taking.
