Self Injecting B12 at night

Does anyone self inject B12 at night? I have to do a shot a day for 2 weeks, then once a week. I only started Tuesday injecting at mid-day, every day, by 3pm I am overwhelmed with tiredness for the rest of the day. My working hours are 2 to 9pm so it is proving very difficult, I had to cancel clients today and go to bed. Does anyone inject before bed? and is this ok to do? I figure better to be tired whilst in bed then throughout the day. Please let me know your if you think it ok to inject before bed.

I’ve had mine done late in the evening and I’ve found it works best - sleep off the lethargy and headache that they give me. Can’t comment on the official guidelines of time of day it should be done

Awww! thank you Emmy I am going to try it too. I can take it at 9pm and then take my levothyroxine at 11pm. I cannot function in the day with this this tiredness, its a real I got to go to sleep tiredness. It comes on about 3 hours after my mid day injection xX

I'm not aware of any guidelines on time of day - do it when it suits you.

Even if there are guidelines (eg for thyroid conditions recommended that levo is taken in the morning) but that doesn't suit everyone - certainly doesn't suit me as it made me unable to function so I now take it in the night. We are all individuals and what works for the mythical average person doesn't necessarily work for you as an individual.

Awww! Gambit I am hypothyroid too and use to take levo in the morning and be hung over for about 3 or 4 hours until it kicked in. I started taking it at night and the brain fog is better in the mornings now, still there but better. I have low morning cortisol which does not help. I needed some hand holding as I am not sure what I am doing with the self injecting at the moment. I think I will try injecting at say 9 at night and take my levo at 11, thank you xX

Yes, I inject all times of the day. Bedtime is fine.

Sstephens thank you I am going to not do the mid-day injection today and try it at 8pm tonight. The tiredness comes on about 3 hours after I inject and it's a real I have got to sleep tiredness, not like a tired and wired which I always had :0/ xX

I always do mine as I am about to get into bed. I usually get a good night's sleep and wake up with the itching, burning, twitching and stinging in hands and feet and the tinnitus a thing of the past, at least for a week.
