They will make a final donation of 6 months of total donations given during 2022. But donations still being made for sales made until February 20th

Such a shame that it is ending .

Did they give a reason it was ending? It is such a shame.

such a shame. I think the reason it may not have taken off is because people don’t know about it. If they advertised it in their banners or on the checkout page or something it would raise the awareness of it. Plus who wants to type in a full email address and add smile at the beginning when you’re on a web browser, you search Amazon and click the top link 🙈😂

Such a shame really when they make so much profit as it is.

that i think is rubbish. The amount the charity i donate to, gets emailed to me each year and it is no small amount to them. I simply think amazon dont want to donate anymore.

Just got the same email 🙁 Very sad that it’s ending and tbh I don’t really understand the reason for it 🤷🏻‍♀️

I'm in the US, and also received this notice yesterday. So many good charities are going to hurt because of Amazon's decision :-(

If it affected sakes , it would be re-established . But it won’t !

Sadly, it's all about their profit 😒

I am chairman of a charity and we are grateful for all donations but the amount we receive from Amazon Smile is minuscule when you consider the expenditure of our donors!!!!! The % they donate is minute. Shame they don’t share some the tax money they avoid….

I support a different charity (I have a sick granddaughter so one that addresses her needs) and I donate to her charity via ‘easyfundraising’.

Every time I shop online at Amazon, John Lewis etc etc instead of opening the retailers app on my phone I open the easyfundraising app instead and then click on Amazon or whoever and then shop as normal.

I think you can do this via a browser if that’s the way you online retail shop.

The donation is usually between 1 and 2% of what you spend and there are very few online retailers who aren’t part of the scheme. So far I and my friends have raised £537 for the charity Reverse Rett via easyfundraising.

I think you can do this for any registered charity so maybe this could be the replacement for Amazon smile donations?
