What has doct recommend for your low b12, i was put on 6 loading dose injections over a 2 week period and have they tested for why your levels are low? Also have you advised doct that you have stopped thyroid meds as i have underactive thyroid and medication for this is pretty important to take, im not medically qualified but there are alot of others on this page that should have more advise for you

Think you need vitamin 12 injections- a spray is unlikely to help can you see another doctor?

i seen and he said the same take oral spray

I don’t think a spray is the usual way to have it- injections are usual

i have normall hemoglobin 13.5

That’s not relevant. If your B12 is low you need injections quite urgently

I can only speak from my experience and testings - when you have a fbc (full blood count) they tested B12 - my print out clearly stated 112 - which was reported in bold - indicative that the doctor should investigate , however the clause in my printout out says "there is no gold standard test for determining B12 deficiency and the final decision for treatment should be on clinical judgement" levels between 120-145 are indeterminate level less that 120 deficiency is more likely. apparently B12 deficiency can be present even if normal (145-914). It also says that the patients symptoms and signs and are the clear indication that "all is not well" which having seen comments on this forum we know what those symptons are. Pregnant women can usually have low B12 (and I am not that) and there are other many other things that can contribute to low B12. I will say now that having had the 5 injections and felt my world was colapsing after them and whilst I am tired -and feeling sick I did not sleep for 5 hours during the day these past few days. I am not ready to run a marathon. So I hope this helps - only you need tell your doctor how you feel if you know your levels. Also if not dealt with with pouring oil on firey waters not dealing with it can be quite serious. My opinion and only my opinion DONT LEAVE IT my doctor didn't she sent me for the injections. keep week kind regards

I agree with other that you probably require injections as you would not be feeling well at all with both of these conditions, there is also a thyroid section on this website which may be able to help you, either way both conditions need to be treated quite promptly by the sound of things

Perhaps you need a different thyroid medication. Which were you taking?

euthyrox

That’s a T4 med. perhaps a natural desiccated thyroid , or T3 only would suit you better. Depends on your labs. A thyroid support page would be able to assist
