Hi. I was diagnosed with PA this year and have been taking daily or EOD B12. Back in March I got dermatitis on the knuckles of both hands. It went away but has begun again. I can’t find a diet cause and am very careful with the clothes wash I use. The rash doesn’t appear anywhere else.
An online link suggested the skin condition could be caused by sensitivity or allergy to cobalt/cobalamin. Alarming thought as I have to take it.
Do any of you excellent people have any knowledge or experience of this? And how it might be circumvented?
Thanks in advance for any advice.

In general the dermatitis resulting from B12 injections is due to the way micro-organisms on the skin react to the B12 - secreting a substance that the skin then reacts to, as such a suitable wash might help.
My suggestion would be to speak to a pharmacist - explain the situation and they should be able to suggest something that helps, or tell you what to ask your GP for if they can't supply without a prescription
