Regained Sensitivity to Heat

I think just had a surprising development in my recovery from B12 deficiency. For the past 5 years or so I seemed to have lost much of my ability to feel hot temperatures with my fingertips. I used to joke that I had teflon fingers. Well, yesterday I was ironing and when I picked up the shirt to move it to another section my fingers hurt. I was shocked by the sensation. The same thing happened with hot water when I was washing dishes. I think this must be another sign of nerve recovery. I hadn't thought about the loss of sensation in my fingertips as being a problem until now. Interesting.

I agree, I was so happy to feel the pain. I guess I'm going to have to be more careful now.

Maybe this is why my husband screams any time he puts his hands in my dish water?

I didn't realise how much sensitivity I had lost in my hands and feet until they started recovering. I used to say I had asbestos fingers!

I wonder how many other sensations we lost and have yet to recover?

Are you managing to get this recovery on the standard UK 3 monthly injections?

No, I'm in the U.S. I get my shots every three weeks or so. Whenever I feel like I need one.
