Rosemarie was well-known for her amusing cartoons featuring “Dr. NO” . I made friends with her after joining this forum . We found that we lived 1/2 mile away from eachother . I will miss her as this forum will. A good soul who had also suffered through lack of treatment for P.A.
The old Gloucestershire support group wish to express their condolences .
R.I.P. dear Rosemarie .

Won’t like that post doesn’t seem right - but I remember her ❤️🙏🏻… She’ll be on that B12 forum in heaven as I type🙏🏻 I hope she & you knew/know of the respect, gratitude & fondness we have for you folk that answer & care for members… Jo x
That is so sad. Rosemary was very kind to me when I joined this group and really encouraged me, along with yourself, not to be afraid to to take control. Please tell her family how sorry I am and how very supportive she was of a complete stranger
That was a lovely tribute to Rosemarie .Thank you Libuse . I will tell her family . I think that they knew nothing about the forum . They will be proud to hear that .
so sad, what a loss to the forum, she helped and guided many of us.deepest condolences to her family.
Oh so very sad 💔 Lots of love and condolences to Rosemaries family at this very sad time. And to you, Wedgwood ❤️ I’m sure you’ll miss her so much but how lovely that two sisters of our b12 plight found friendship together, I’m sure she’ll be keeping a good eye on you 😢 x
My condolences to you wedgewood and all her family and family. She will be missed! Was already missing her since she wasn't around as much lately. I'm so sorry. 💔 Thank you for letting us know.
I hope your memories of your time as Rosemarie’s friend sustain you through this time of loss, Wedgewood. I did not know her much but I hope her passing was not too painful and that she is now at peace.
very sorry to hear this very sad news, a huge loss to you 😢 May her gentle soul rest in peace and pray that you also find some comfort during this difficult time ❤️
Oh my goodness, I'm so sorry. She was having terrible problems over the past few/several months and couldn't get the help she needed, often with Drs just dismissing her because of her advanced years and gender.
I am so pleased to know that you lived so close and were able to support her - she was wonderful on here and knowing that you are too and saw her really helps me to manage this sad news.
Did she give you her pictures? She wanted to entrust them to someone who understood what they were about and who would appreciate them.
My heartfelt sympathy goes out to all who had the opportunity of knowing her. A remarkable lady.
I have flowers in my garden that I now always associate with her and always will. May she be surrounded by flowers for ever more...
RIP indeed. I am so sorry to hear this very sad news. I shall miss her sense and support and her cartoons and of course her flowers. Condolences to you and her family and friends.
Thank you Wedgewood. I am very sorry to hear this. She was a long standing and valued member of this community. Please pass my condolences on to her family and friends.
That is sad news. This forum will remember her for her kindness, knowledge & humour! We really appreciated her, as we do you, Wedgewood. My condolences x
Rest in Peace Rosemarie you will be greatly missed and in my thoughts and whenever a cartoon makes me smile I will think of you. Condolences and best wishes to family and friends on their loss of a loved one❤️
She sent me one of her cartoons so I could pin it up in the waiting room of he doctors’ surgery here. She was unfailingly kind in her comments, a light has gone out.
Thank you wedgewood for letting us know of her passing. I am sorry to hear that she is gone, sorry for the loss of your friend & much love sent to all of her loved ones.
Thank you Rosemarie for all the support you gave to us. And the lovely distractions as well. I am sorry that I never expressed that directly to you. As we can talk about our insight and frustrations all day long (and some middle of the night rants!) but a breather for a smile and a laugh has the utmost importance.
Thanks again wedgewood. May you find some comfort in the memories that you made together.
oh gosh how terribly sad and shocking! So so sorry to all who knew her and loved her. Thank goodness you were so close. My thoughts are with you all. Such a helpful fun lady and a huge loss.
I’m so sorry to read this, my heart goes out to all who knew her. She was a lovely lady whose presence in the forum and Dr No cartoons will never be forgotten.
I loved her cartoons, and her flowers, her stories about her life. When I first joined the forum, and did not have a computer of my own, I would use the library -and photocopied a few of her cartoons, just to cheer me up. Generous, funny, indomitable. Her personality shone through in all her posts here.
wedgewood - Can some of her cartoons be reposted here as a tribute to her ? I wouldn't know how to do this - but someone here will, I'm sure.
Thank you so much Cherylclaire. Yes Rosemarie’s cartoons were great . I wouldn’t know how to retrieve and post them . You message is so much appreciated . It will be passed on to her family !
So sad to hear, my thoughts and sincere condolences to you and everyone who knew and loved Rosemarie. You both and so many other kind souls on this forum will never know how much you have helped myself and countless others with advice, encouragement and humour, I for one am eternally grateful 💔
So sorry to hear that, I always enjoyed her cartoons. My sincere sympathy to you as her dear friend and to her family. Her kindness and humour will be sadly missed xx
So very sorry to hear of Rosemary’s passing. She sounds a great character, although I didn’t know her. A sense of humour with her Dr No’s, when we all struggle in different ways withPA, is a true gift. Thank you beginner 1 & 2 for making a difference to us. Safe in Gods hands xx
Thank you wedgewood for conveying this very sad news. Re-reading her eloquent posts helped to remind me of the amazing person she was. My condolences to you and her family and friends - and all those here who will miss her constant kindness. Laced with humour her kindness was a wonderful cocktail - inspiring us all 💖
So sad her earlier posts were lost - but not forgotten ...
Very sad news. Long Covid complication with untreated PA is fatal. Still I think PA patient are in need of colonial antibody infusion not vaccination because body immune system weakness due to long term B12 deficiency can't handle it. Condolences to her family.
I'm sorry for the loss of your friend. I remember some of her posts, and although I never had direct contact with her, I recall the photos of her lovely flowers and her cartoons.
She said that whenever she was angry, she'd do a cartoon.
Except once, when instead she made an apple pie with the name of the offending person who had angered her, together with a very rude word, made of pastry, on the top.
Then invited a couple of friends round to help her eat it !
Thank you for reminding me Cherylclaire . I’m compiling a little memory bank which i shall give to her daughter about her PA forum life She doesn’t know about this other life her Mum had .
I have printed out every tribute from so many members .
I was so sorry to read that Rosemarie had passed away.
I hope she knew that her kindness and humour made such a difference to me and others on the forum. I really appreciated how she tried to keep our spirits up in the lockdowns with her lovely flower photos and at other times with her cartoons.
Please pass on my condolences to her family, she was a special lady.
Thank you so much Sleepybunny . I have down loaded and printed out all the condolences that were sent in for Rosemarie . I sent them to her daughter , who was very touched . Yours will be added . I go to Rosemarie’s funeral on Thursday 1st December , and the kind messages , of which there were a huge number , will be mentioned.
Thank you for your message Clivealive. Rosemarie and I became good friends , after accidentally finding out that we lived in the same town and only about 1/2 mile from eachother . We used to meet about once a month at favourite pubs in the Cotswolds , mostly sitting outside even in winter , so that she could chain -smoke . She knew she should give up smoking , but she was addicted and could not .
Her health was never good , but she remained defiant and tackled all problems with courage ( except she could not give up the ciggies !
She was a talented artist.
Great that she made a cartoon for you !
She is so missed on the forum and her passing has left a hole in my life .
