My life

7 years ago I went to my GP to ask for blood tests to be done cos I wasn’t feeling well, I was tired, weight gain (ive always been under 6st) I couldn’t understand why I was putting it on?? Etc…..

When I went back for the results she “looked me in the face” and told me my bloods were all fine, I knew they weren’t fine cos ive been feeling s**t for ages .

Then 3 years later I saw I locum Dr and he asked how I was feeling to which I said “not good to be honest”

He replied “im not surprised what you’ve got”

I was shocked & he saw that I was, I asked “what do you mean”?

He replied “you’ve got Pernicious Anaemia & underactive thyroid, etc”

Then he said “but it says here the other Dr told me (which she did not) and I refused treatment WTF

Pernicious Anaemia untreated kills you in the end “just so you know”

Anyway long story short I have so much damage do to me now & still can’t get help!!!!

I'm so sorry the doctor lied to you. If caught then you wouldnt be in this situation right now. Life hasn't been fair to you at all. Have they been treating you at all? What have they tried or not tried? My heart breaks for you.💔

Hi .. this makes me so angry.. you poor thing.,how frustrating when you have to argue against the people who are meant to be helping you .. I don’t know where you go from here but I think I would be taking legal advice at this point.. my life is ruined too due to the ignorance and sheer incompetence of my doctors.. they do not have a clue about pernicious anemia in my opinion..

Sending you all the best

I agree with Lowblow - you should be taking this further. If you do not already have access to your medical records get it now before they change anything on them.

This is so bad. You should get a copy of those previous blood tests (and recent etc) and if they are similar to now put in a complaint to your CCG (do not complaint to your GP as they won’t do anything). Basically it’s ignorance, negligence or both !!
