LARGER AMPOULES

Hello

The latest B12 ampoules that arrived from Germany are larger than the ones I usually receive. Not all the liquid will fit into the syringe/ needle combination that I use (or rather that my partner uses to administer my jabs. I can't even look. I have always been needle phobic).

Presumably I will have to buy larger syringe/needle combos. I buy these from England where I live.

Has anyone else experienced the same problem?

Should I have my next B12 injection earlier than usual - every 4 weeks - as my partner was unable to use the full amount in the ampoule ?

Stay safe and well everyone 🙏

If you have purchased hervert - then it will be 1mg/2L so larger ampoules - may be same for other brands. Yes to needing larger syringes.Whilst its okay to do 1ml subcutaneous there may be problems 2ml could be problematic.

Yes you need a 2ml syringe - 3 ml might be better . As you use a syringe and needle combination I assume you are injecting subcutaneously ? It would be easier to buy needles and syringes separately , and inject sub-cut into the front of your thigh . Use a fine needle. 30G x 1/2 inch for injecting and a 2or 3 ml syringe . A long coarse needle is suitable for extracting the B12 . There are plenty of diagrams on the internet , showing where you can inject subcutaneously.

Yes 2ml i is too much fluid for a subcutaneous injection. You coukd just do two ?

.

Different parts of your body.

Full ldose of b12 that way.

Make sure your next order is a 1 ml ampoule.

So much easier.

Not sure why they are made in 2 mls ???
