Yes it happens to me quite frequently,as far as my research into this has gone it can apparently be a symptom of hypothyroidism,I remember reading a doctor said it was one of the questions he asked patients “ do you ever think you see a mouse out the corner of your eye”I have the DIO2 faulty gene from both parents as I’ve long suspected I was hypothyroid but right now I’ve given up trying to get it confirmed as gps and consultants have so far been useless and very closed minded to genetic testing.x

Oh that is interesting. I wonder what causes it. ?

Omg yes! I always think it’s a mouse or snake or spider or something!!! I’ve had thyroid tested ( tsh, T3, T4) and always come back normal. I know there are many more thyroid tests but that’s all I can convince docs to do

Very interesting!
It will be your vision.I've had similar.
Also with tinnitus I can hear odd noises I can't identify.
Especially at night.
Try and get some checks.
Good morning Nackapan I get regular checks on vision/ eyes because of head injury and damage caused to left eye,I have 3D scans done regular it’s worth paying the tenner along with free eye test.If Ctadds1 has any doubts that’d be a good starting point, eyeyest with 3D scan a tenner at specsavers.I obsess about my eyesight as my mother was blind ,started suddenly in her 40s then quickly worsened.take care x
Yes, I've had that too, although since I've been self injecting and started levothyroxine (was subclinical hypothyroid) I don't think it's happened. I used to think my cottage was haunted because it was like something passed by me but I only glimpsed it out of the corner of one eye!
Maybe get your thyroid checked.
Interesting to read. I’m hypothyroid and have three monthly B12 injections.I am seeing a prescribing nurse to discuss an increase in Levothyroxine ( hopefully) also to see if my B12 can be given more frequently. Only in the last couple of weeks I have noticed a similar occurrence of glancing a moving figure in the corner of my eye. Does anyone link this movement to being under medicated.
I’ve twice woken up thinking butterflies were flying around the curtains. Once just before starting B12 and again a few weeks after . I wasn’t dreaming as they were there when I opened my eyes. Took a few minutes to go.
Floaters in the eye? I developed these along with all the other B12 symptoms.
Yes, I get this quite frequently. Although I’ve never associated it with my PA, so that’s interesting I just thought it was an age thing and that life is too overwhelming sometimes.
Me!
Yes so do I. Thought it was just me.
So good to hear this. Thought it was just me. I haven't told anyone, they already think I'm going off it without me telling them about this one!
Me too, sometimes dark shadows when I’m drifting off to sleep too. Weird.
Yes!! Used to get this all the time before getting enough b12 injections.
A bunch of people wrote about this on a thread on the thyroiduk forum:
Me, too. Has improved since I started self injecting, but still happens, on average, several times a week.
