Today is the day!

Hi everyone, I’ve received my parcel from Germany and supplies from the U.K. so think I’m going to do one tonight. Scared! I know it’s mind over matter. I remember that first blood thinner shot I had to give myself it took me ages to pluck up the courage to just do it!

Thanks for everyone’s help with this 😊

Yay! You can do it!!

We've all sat there with our drinks in one hand, shot in the other - ok go, no wait, ok a little closer this time, oh wait, well now i have to rewarm it, ok ready, wait not yet .... finally an hour later we've managed to get only half of it in. Not to mention the early adventures in ampoule-snapping. 😂

I digress. You will do great! All the best! 😁

You'll be fine! I felt so sick and shaky when I did my first one, having put off the dreaded dead for weeks. Now I don't bat an eyelid 👍

Good luck, good decision! I even had to lie down after my first self-injections, now it's routine. And it will become the same for you. All the best!

Fingers crossed, thank you! It wasn’t as bad as injecting my stomach with blood thinners so hopefully I’ll get used to it quickly 😊

Injected my left thigh this evening and my god it was so painful when the liquid went in, all down the front of my thigh into my knee. Did it very slowly and no air in it. Had to pull it out only half done. Not sure what I did wrong 😐

I wonder if you got a nerve, I'm too wimpy to do it myself so have to get my husband to help out and I think he got a nerve once it really hurt and I had to tell him to stop. Not sure if there is any way to be sure to miss them but I did read that it won't cause any harm. Well done for plucking up the courage to take charge of your own health, I'm sure it'll get easier each time.

Thank you, yeah I’m thinking it might have been that. It was a lot worse than that burning you get when a nurse injects it into the arm 100 mph 😬I’ll have to start marking my legs where is safe lol!

My husband said I should get a target tattoo on my thigh so he never hits the wrong spot 😂
