An interesting day today

I decided to go online and look at my new gps website to try and pluck up the courage to make an appointment after I’d recently had my ct scan and the professors report.I noticed that they did a referral request form so I thought great I’ll try that and see if I can get a neuro referral and explain my reasons for wanting it,bearing in mind this poor gp hasn’t even met or spoken to me yet so I filled it in and tapped send.

Then the postman comes and I ve got a letter saying they have my professors clinical letter and could I please make a telephone appointment to discuss. That’s the first time that’s happened none of previous gps asked me to do this.

The receptionist called me within an hour said she had my referral request and she would take it into the duty gp and id get a call back.really lovely and friendly.

She called me back as promised and said the gp would like me to make a phone appointment and we can discuss the referral and the professors recommendations in the same call and is Friday ok.I’m gobsmacked I’m just absolutely praying that the gp is up to the same standard as the reception staff and pharmacy staff I’d be so chuffed fingers crossed eh? X

I’m still in shock it’s a wee country practice but it’s website is amazing it has a well being centre too,why can’t the inner cities practices be so well organised,it’s leaves them standing ,just on being able to contact them by email even,iIt has an ask the receptionist question area or an ask the gp a question area it’s cracking, it has its own pharmacy too.you can tell I’m impressed eh? Lol

Lol we were planning to stay in the same area anyway Nackapan it’s such a lovely place to live so friendly too,it just feels promising now after such a rotten few years,I’ve said to the gp when requesting the referral that not only do I have neuro symptoms but they’re really increased now, despite me having regular injections of b12.I have now got pins and needles and sudden bolts of pain in fingers and toes numbness and burning pain in feet, numbness and tingling in my jawline on one side and top lip and really bad heachaches so I def think I need that neuro referral,my professor will refer me for mri of spine so hopefully working together we can improve things.

Yes that sounds sensible. I've had two brain MRI. The second I thought was going to be my spine. But included upper cervical. So neck. Youd of thought it woukdnt have much more to do spine. So everything seen!

Sorry to hear you have more symptoms.

I've got more head pains at present and a locked feeling in neck??

Glad you like the area you are now in .makes such a difference . . You were in the country before I remember before going to the city.
