My folate is at the high end of normal. Do I need to take it daily whilst doing B12 SI?
These are my results:
“Your results for folate are at the high end of 'normal' on your latest test. The 'normal' reference range for yourself runs from 3.89ug/L - 20.58ug/L. Your result is 19.8ug/L”

I take a 400mcg tablet of folic acid daily , which is the recommended dose to take with B12 . This is also. the recommended dose for pregnancy , so will be very safe .Folic acid (vitamin B9) can be overdosed( unlike B12) Folate which is what B9 found in food is called, cannot If you are taking more than 400mcg daily, that might be what has pushed up your reading .
Thank you for replying. I hear so many conflicting things. You can’t overdose as it’s water soluble. You can. You need to take more if you’re SI regularly. You don’t. How often do you inject with that dose? I’m happy my level is good. It’s not too high but I don’t want to overdo it.
