B12 sublingual powder

I was just having a poke around Helios Homeopathy website and they sell a sublingual B12 powder - interesting. Not sure why I never thought of looking on there for things B12 when I was getting a bit desperate a few months ago - oh, wait, lack of B12 had played havoc with my faculties then!

I suppose that it works in the same way as the sublingual lozenges that we are all familiar with. I have tried the sub-linguals , without any effect. I know some people can benefit from sub-linguals —that’s great . But for me , a b12 injection is the most efficient way of dealing with Pernicious Anaemia. Also the cost of an injection is really low ( roughly £1.60) It is for me , money really well spent .

Actually, I wasn't aware of the lozenges. That's made my post, for information purposes, worthwhile! Horses for courses as usual.

Thanks, but I'm not going to buy any. Not yet, at least... I was just sharing info so people have choices.

Have you tried the sublingual sprays? They can be very helpful for some people they work well keeping up my husbands levels, you can now get b12 folate vit D3/K2 and a few others, not bad prices from Amazon,The “better you” range is decent x

Thanks for that. I've used Better You sprays for a long time - when I was diagnosed with approaching non-existent Vit D levels and dispatched empty-handed by the hospital consultant to book to see GP in order to get the necessary meds, Better You was my first stop within the hour!

Hi Rogergee. From my personal management -

I add to my initial load and 3 month injections with daily 12k mg Sublingual Liquid drops in 2 litres of water. Someone kindly posted me saying it’s an option. Drinking through the day and hopefully the body somewhere absorbing 1%-2% of this. I’m very new into testing so not sure if it works.

I also bought a set of B12 injections from a local clinic so after my 6x loading in April-22 top up with an injection when feeling low (working toward SI when I pluck up the courage). I wish there was a face to face training course on this.

I’m also taking 400mg B9 Solgar folate.

I’ve decided not to have any blood tests on the NHS as looming CCC advice is removal of injections after loading so if your on any GP injections don’t give any excuse for the GP to remove. And tick the box don’t share my medical records if you get any private treatments.

All very new for me and this forum is great so I’m reading, researching, having endoscopy tests etc to rule out obvious issues. And plan to get back into exercise soon gently first.

Good luck.

Thanks for that PAapr22, good information.

Re SI - I did SI for years for something else. I was so desperate to have the medication, that far outweighed my desire to run as far from doing it as possible. I told the doctor I knew how to do it (I didn't) when asked, then I asked the nurse outside to talk me through as a refresher which, kindly, she did.

It's one of those things that I find very much mind over matter so I have some positive inner talk going on as I do it - eg, yes, this really isn't my favourite thing to do but I really need it and I love the healing positive outcomes I get from it.

The how to SI videos that myself and other people have posted links to previously are clear and, honestly, you wouldn't get much more (other than company and verbal reassurance - very valuable, I know!) from someone there in the room with you.

Do you know anybody who dies their own diabetes injections? Or anybody who is a nurse, midwife, phlebotomy, etc, who you could ask to be there when you do your first SI? Do sacrifice a needle and syringe first, to get a bit familiar with how to operate them - you can always use water and an orange for practice purposes.

I hope you land the right mix of treatment, and better health, really soon.
